50+ Best DIY STEM Kits Gift Ideas for the Entire Family
By The messy optimist
Let’s face it. Jobs are hard to come by these days and this was even before COVID hit us like an asteroid we had no idea was headed towards us. The one field where jobs seem to abound – and they pay well – is in the STEM field. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
I know what you’re thinking. YAWN. BORING.
Or you’re thinking – TOUGH. HARD. SCARED. Especially of Math. I get it. Been there, done that. STEM is hard and difficult. And if is intimidating to adults – can you even imagine how it would be for kids?
One thing I watched a family close to me do over the COVID lockdown was how this family of four used their free time to work on these DIY STEM kits. From making a Potato clock to robots to building cars and more…they did it all themselves.
While I have no idea if this will magically resolve our fear of STEM – maybe, these DIY gifts that are specifically based on STEM ideas will help your kids, your teens and yourselves feel just a little less intimidated by it all.
