Street Art Sunday – Madurodam, Netherlands, Part-1
by The Messy Optimist
So – every Sunday – whichever part of the world I am – I’m going to get out images of raw street art that I find and post it here. It can be anything from paintings, chalk drawings on walls, graffiti, murals, photographs, weird store and restaurant names and logos, interesting and striking doors and walls and gates, interesting play on language – just about anything that is unique and artistic – by way of colors and language – I’m going to feature it here.
I first saw this breathtaking array of miniature houses in Batam, Indonesia. I will do a post on the same very soon.
Madurodam offers a similar display of miniature houses. Except, here, the entire city of Amsterdam is on display – in a miniaturized version. The miniatures of the entire city of Amsterdam can be seen at the Madurodam miniature park which is at the Scheveningen district of The Hague in the Netherlands. I’m not sure which is better – the actual city of Amsterdam or the artists who recreated the city with these amazing miniatures.
There are so many incredible miniature models that I’m going to split this into two parts.
Enjoy!
